Sunday, family lunch. Twelve people, three generations, a grandmother who wants fish, an uncle who swears by meat, and you, volunteered to find somewhere. Good news: on Sunday, the question is almost never “what is open?” It is more “where is there still a table for twelve?” Complete lists, with evidence for each place, are at kosher restaurants by area.
How we counted. We start with Keila’s kosher listings with documented evidence: certification naming their address in the Beth Din de Paris directory or, for two of them, a declaration by the restaurant itself. 106 have recorded opening hours. We excluded five whose recorded hours show service on Friday evening or Saturday daytime: for a kosher place, this suggests the source does not account for Shabbat, and we prefer saying nothing to copying an error. That leaves 101 places: 91 open on Sunday, 10 closed. We deliberately give no times here: exact hours are on the app’s listing, with their source and date.
Why Sunday is the easy day
A kosher restaurant closes from Friday before sunset until Saturday evening. It therefore loses two services in the middle of the weekend, and Sunday is when it catches up. The result: it is the one weekend day without Shabbat planning. No meal to arrange the day before, no Shabbat end time to watch. Friday and Saturday have their rules, explained in Shabbat at restaurants in Paris; for Saturday evening specifically, see kosher restaurants open Saturday night after Shabbat.
The downside is the crowd. Everyone had the same idea, and large Sunday tables need booking. For twelve, call during the week, not Sunday morning.
From Sunday morning
For brunch, coffee or a deli stop before lunch, the recorded hours show morning service at around a dozen places. First, Chlew for deli food and sandwiches: Chlew Villiers (17th), Chlew Victor Hugo (16th), Chlew Manin (19th), Chlew Rosiers (4th), Chlew Delishop in Levallois and Chlew Saint-Mandé. For dairy, La Kave du Fromager in the 11th and Itsik in the 19th. Then King David in Neuilly, Chez René et Gabin and Kifolie in the 20th, and Nooba in Levallois.
For the grandmother who wants fish and a creamy dessert, look at the dairy places: 17 of the 91 are halavi, including La Stella, Tayim, Il Palazzo and Momento. They are gathered under kosher dairy restaurants. The meat-loving uncle will wait until dinner. What bassari, halavi and pareve mean is explained here.
In Paris, arrondissement by arrondissement
65 of the 91 places are in Paris. The 17th has by far the most, simply because it has the most kosher restaurants. The order follows the number of places open on Sunday.
Paris 17th: 21 places
Almost all of the kosher 17th: from sushi at Aïko to pizzas at O Gusto, including three dairy places for a table wanting cheese. The neighbourhood list, including places that do not open on Sunday, is at kosher restaurants in the 17th.

The ten that close on Sunday
This is the article’s most useful list because it saves you a journey. In the record of 3 October 2026, these ten kosher places have no Sunday service. Most primarily serve on weekdays.
- Chlew Saint-Honoré, Paris 8th (the other Chlew locations open on Sunday)
- Ness Deli’s, Paris 2nd
- Chicken Delice and Le Manhattan, Paris 11th
- Bayit, Paris 16th
- Aux Délices D’abraham, Paris 19th
- Le Loft, Saint-Mandé
- Sergioh!, Sarcelles
- Mazé, Montrouge
- Bonne Heure des Dames, Créteil
Two other kosher listings, Marceau Café 17 and Nigoun in Boulogne, do not yet have recorded hours: we do not know, so we make no claim.
Before setting off
These hours describe an ordinary week, recorded on 3 October 2026 from each establishment’s website or online listing. They say nothing about holidays, August breaks or the Sunday when the chef’s daughter gets married. If Sunday falls on a holiday, or the eve of one that begins that evening, put this article aside and call. Where available, the number is on the listing, with the exact recorded service hours, source and date, in the Keila app, coming soon to the App Store.
Questions we get asked
What about Sunday evening?
Many of the 91 places also serve in the evening, but not all, and times vary by address. We do not give them here: they are on each app listing, and a phone call remains more reliable than a record.
What about holidays?
A holiday such as Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Shavuot or the first and last days of Sukkot and Passover works like Shabbat: kosher restaurants generally close, even on Sunday. The holiday calendar and its effects are covered in our Shabbat article.
My restaurant opens on Sunday but is missing from the list
Either we do not yet have documented kosher evidence for it, we have no recorded hours, or its record was one of the five excluded. Write to thomas@keila.app. Do you run the place? Your hours and certificate can appear on your listing with their source: restaurant owners’ area.
