Trusthas a source.

A recommendation makes you curious. A source helps you choose.

One rating displayed

Until an address has five published Keila reviews, an indicative public rating may appear, converted to a score out of 5. It is never mixed with Keila reviews. From five published reviews, the Keila average replaces it. Without a public rating, the first Keila reviews are identified as such. A review that is pending, rejected, removed or written by a suspended contributor does not count towards the average. Hiding a contributor for yourself does not change the average other people see.

A review is not certification

Stars describe contributors’ experiences. They do not verify dietary status, a certificate or cooking practices. Keila does not describe a visit as verified without evidence of that visit. A rating from a directory remains a dated observation, not a live measurement.

Separate criteria

Kosher, vegan and vegetarian are separate choices, as are cooking requirements: supervised ovens, dedicated equipment, pat, bishul or chalav Yisrael. Requiring one of these details calls for current evidence from the supervising body covering the whole venue. Information that is unknown, withdrawn or disputed does not meet your requirement. Cooking details are never inferred from a logo alone.

Certification and declaration

Documented certification relies on identified evidence. A declaration is information supplied by the establishment. Keila displays their nature separately: these two levels are not equivalent.

Scope matters

Vegetarian options do not mean the entire menu is vegetarian. Each piece of information states whether it covers the establishment or only some options. Confirm details that matter to you with the restaurant.

A date, not a permanent promise

Listings show the date of the latest check. Withdrawn, disputed or suspended information no longer lets an address match the relevant filter. An offline summary may be out of date and cannot know about a recent remote withdrawal.

An identified editorial perspective

“Why this place?” explains the editorial choice and names its author. Guides bring places together around an intention and commentary. An editorial recommendation does not certify any dietary characteristic.

Your feedback helps

Corrections are reviewed before publication. A recognised dispute may lead to information being suspended while it is checked. An anonymous submission alone cannot change or remove a listing.

Locating addresses

The locations of the initial listings are matched to official addresses using France’s National Address Database through the IGN geocoding service. This documentary check locates an address or its building; it does not constitute an on-site visit.
