Ask someone from Sarcelles how many kosher restaurants there are in town and they will say “loads” before you finish the question. They are probably right. Keila only counts what it can substantiate, which currently means three places with documented certification. The up-to-date list, listing by listing, is at Sarcelles kosher restaurants with evidence. Here we explain the rest: what we have, what we do not have yet, and why.
First, a geographical point that often gets confused: Sarcelles is in Val-d’Oise, around ten kilometres from the Paris ring road. It is not in the inner suburbs, yet it is one of the towns with the most answers to “where are we eating tonight?” The catalogue contains eight places there, all with a kosher mention, along two main roads.
Boulevard Albert Camus: a grill, and a name with two spellings
Four catalogue listings are on the boulevard, two with documented certification. Chez Inoun, at number 3, is listed as a “restaurant bassari” in the official Beth Din de Paris directory. Its recorded menu is unapologetically a grill: lamb, beef, chicken thigh, chicken liver or veal sweetbread skewers, followed by rib-eye, veal chop and rib of beef. If you bring someone who cannot choose between two dishes, they may take a while.
Sergioh!, at number 28, is also listed as bassari, but you will not find that name in the directory. It appears under its holder’s name, “CHEZ SERGIO”, at 28 boulevard Albert Camus. Same address, two spellings: Keila matched them manually, and the listing explains how. This is exactly the detail that makes two lists show different names. Its listing does not yet have a recorded menu.

On the same boulevard, two places have been spotted in kosher directories without certification documented in their Keila listings to date: Pizza Tova, at number 42, listed as dairy, and Danky’s Burger, at number 44, listed as meat. For both, the directory names Rabbinat Loubavitch de France as supervisor. This therefore needs confirming, including on site.
Avenue Paul Valéry: the only dairy place documented in Keila
La Marina, at number 103, is Sarcelles’ only dairy restaurant with certification documented in Keila: the Beth Din de Paris directory lists it as a “restaurant halavi”. Its recorded menu does what you would expect from a dairy restaurant: pizzas (margherita, four cheese, goat’s cheese and honey), arrabbiata pasta, baked camembert with honey, and speculoos tiramisu to finish. For the evening when everyone wants cheese, this is the place.

Three other places on the avenue have been spotted in kosher directories and need confirmation: Shawarma Burger, at number 67, and Le Shine Sarcelles, at number 83, listed as meat (Rabbinat Loubavitch de France is the stated supervisor for Le Shine), and Kelly’s, at number 78, with no type given. In the app, unknown information never counts as a yes: if you filter for Bassari or Halavi, Kelly’s will not appear.
Why three, rather than twelve
Compare other lists and you will see around a dozen names in Sarcelles. The two do not contradict each other: they measure different things. Keila separates three levels of evidence and never adds them together:
- Documented certification: an organisation names the establishment at that address in a dated public source. In Sarcelles, these are the three places in the Beth Din de Paris directory, checked on 2 October 2026.
- Declaration: the restaurant itself states that it is kosher on its website or menu. We have not yet recorded one in Sarcelles.
- Spotted in a directory: a kosher directory mentions the address, often with a type and organisation. This is an observation, displayed as “to confirm”.
We know where the gap is: many Sarcelles places are listed under Rabbinat Loubavitch de France supervision, and Keila does not yet document that certification from an official source. This is not a judgement on the organisation or restaurants. It is a source we have not connected yet, and until we do, the listing does not say yes on its behalf. We will add these certifications with their source when we have it. The method is detailed on our method page.
Meanwhile, you can check yourself. The Beth Din directory is online; we explain how in Beth Din de Paris: how to check a restaurant. For the document in the window, whatever the organisation, see how to read a kosher certificate.
Questions we get asked
Is Sarcelles more meat or dairy?
Among documented places, two meat addresses for one dairy address. Among those awaiting confirmation, mostly meat, with one dairy pizzeria. If bassari and halavi are only half-familiar, we explain them here.
What about Shabbat?
As elsewhere: most kosher restaurants close from Friday evening to Saturday evening, and Saturday-night arrangements depend on each place. The principle is explained in Shabbat and Paris restaurants. For a particular place, a call settles it.
My favourite restaurant is missing
Quite possibly: the catalogue is being built. Suggest it in the app (“Suggest a place”) or write to thomas@keila.app. To see Sarcelles in the wider picture, there is the kosher map of Paris and Île-de-France and all lists by place.
Do you run a restaurant in Sarcelles?
If your listing says “to confirm” while you have a certificate in the window, it means we do not yet have the source. Send us your organisation’s document, or the address as it appears in its directory: we display it with its nature and date, without embellishment. Listing is free; everything is explained in the restaurant owners’ area.
And for everyone: the three documented listings, with their menu and source, are in the Keila app, coming soon to the App Store.
