Eating kosher in the 16th, from Trocadéro to Auteuil

From Trocadéro to Auteuil, a kosher guide to the 16th: what the Beth Din de Paris directory names, brands to check address by address, and the only dairy option.

The 16th is the only large district in the catalogue where every address is connected to kosher food: 24 as of 5 October 2026, to our knowledge, without a single stray vegetarian burger. But not all have the same evidence. 11 have documented certification through the Beth Din de Paris directory; the other 13 are mentioned only in kosher directories, awaiting confirmation. The updated list of 11 is on kosher restaurants in the 16th with evidence.

This guide is a catalogue snapshot from 5 October, including directories. The 16th’s page keeps only listings with evidence and changes with every check: that is the reference.

11 certifications documented through the Beth Din de Paris

Each comes from the official live Beth Din de Paris directory, published by the Consistoire. On 2 October 2026, Keila found these eleven establishments at their exact addresses, with coverage for the whole establishment and a holder matching the business name. The directory classifies them as “restaurant bassari” or “restaurant halavi”.

Now the limits, because they matter to us: the source publishes neither a teouda copy, an individual reference nor validity dates. Each piece of evidence is checked regularly: evidence marked suspended no longer counts as a yes in the app. The check date is on the listing; look at it.

Evidence per address, not per logo

A fair question: if Bozen Trocadéro and Bozen Iéna appear in the Beth Din directory, why does Keila not give every Bozen the same badge? Because certification applies to an address. Keila displays it only when the body names this establishment at this street number, and never copies it between branches. As a result, several Bozen branches have documented certification, but others elsewhere do not yet have it on their Keila records. The same applies to Chlew, Shinzzo, Nina Sushi and Sma Ma Mash. If you want a particular evidence level, the address’s listing counts, not the brand.

Identified in directories: 13 addresses

These addresses appear in one or more kosher directories, without documented certification on their Keila records to date. The body cited by the directory appears as “indicated supervision”, awaiting confirmation.

Meat

Six addresses indicated as meat. Grill and Middle Eastern food at Le Shkoun, boulevard Murat, and Maison Titi, rue de Sfax. Israeli food at LeaHava, rue Spontini, and Massada Traiteur, avenue de Versailles, whose name includes “caterer”: check that there is seating before planning your evening. Sandwiches at Alfi 16e, rue des Sablons, and Asian food at Unagi, rue de Longchamp.

Dairy

Five addresses indicated as dairy. La Villa K, rue Gustave Courbet, serves pizza and Italian food. Le XXV Trocadéro combines French and Japanese cuisine with a tearoom, and The Reserve Paris 16 lists French cuisine. A small warning: Il Conté Maestro and Maestro 16e both appear at 47 avenue Raymond Poincaré in directories. Two names for the same business, or a rebrand? We do not yet know and would rather tell you than choose at random.

Mixed or unspecified category

Grill Bar Paris 16e, rue Saint-Didier, is indicated as both meat and dairy. For Massa, avenue Raymond Poincaré, no category is given. In Keila, unknown never means yes: these addresses do not appear when filtering Bassari or Halavi.

A spread-out district

Unlike the 19th, the 16th is not concentrated on one street. Avenue Raymond Poincaré has four records (including two at the same number, as explained above), rue des Sablons and rue de Longchamp have two each, and the rest are scattered from Trocadéro to Auteuil. In practice, the app map is more useful than memory here. Open Explorer, select “near me” and filter by category. If you do not feel like crossing the district, Levallois and Boulogne are nearby: we discuss them in kosher addresses in Levallois-Perret.

How to read this list

Documented certification: Keila found the establishment named at this address by a supervision body in a dated public source, and the listing displays that source and its check date. Declaration: the restaurant itself says it is kosher, on its website or menu; useful information, but not certification. Identified in directories: the address appears in one or more kosher directories, and the record says “to confirm”, because these indications are not verified certification. If your requirements are strict, open the listing, check its source and date, and call before travelling.

The neighbour with the most choice is the 17th and its 23 certified addresses. Towards the 8th, nearer the Champs-Élysées, there are kosher addresses in the 8th. The overview is in the kosher map of Paris by district, and all listings are in the restaurant index. Filter all of it in the Keila app, coming soon to the App Store.

Frequently asked questions

Is it up to date?
The figures in this article reflect the catalogue published on 5 October 2026. Certifications were checked on 2 October in the Beth Din de Paris directory and are checked regularly; evidence marked suspended no longer counts as a yes. An address may have changed since: the listing and a phone call take precedence over this article.
Why is a particular restaurant in the 16th missing?
Because the catalogue is being built: 290 addresses in Paris and Île-de-France as of 5 October 2026, to our knowledge, across all dietary categories, not every existing place. Some listings await a check, some places have escaped us, and others are not currently published. Suggest it through the app (“Suggest a place”) or email thomas@keila.app.
Who checks?
The Keila team records sources, dates them and displays their nature. Keila certifies nothing: certification comes from a supervision body, and Keila simply says whether it found it, where and when. Details are on the methodology page, and instructions for checking yourself are in Beth Din de Paris-certified restaurant: how to check.
Opening hours, Shabbat and Sunday?
In the app, almost all listings in the 16th now have indicative weekly hours, with their source and recording date. Indicative is the key word: on Friday afternoon or before a holiday, call. We discuss this further in our article on Shabbat and restaurants. On Sunday, almost everything is open: see the list in kosher restaurants open on Sunday in Paris.

Do you run a restaurant in the 16th whose Keila record still says “to confirm”? That is exactly what we can work on together: the restaurant owners’ page.
